    On the morning of September 28th, at 9:30 AM, the unveiling ceremony of the Harber Industrial Limited and Beijing University of Science and Technology Metal Injection Molding (MIM) Technology Joint Research and Development Center was held at Dongguan Harber Industrial Limited. This signifies a full acknowledgment of Harber Industrial Limited's research and development capabilities by a top-tier domestic academic institution. Professor Qu Xuanhui from Beijing University of Science and Technology and Mr. Bret Chen, the General Manager of Harber Industrial, jointly unveiled the Research and Development Center. The event was attended by nearly 50 people, including Deputy Director Pan Liyun from the Changan Development Zone Management Committee, Professor Guo Shaoqiong from the Comprehensive Office of Science and Technology at Beijing University of Science and Technology, Associate Professor Chen Gang from Beijing University of Science and Technology, and members of the Harber Industrial team.

    The unveiling ceremony was hosted by Mr. Lin Lee, Deputy General Manager of Harber Industrial. Mr. Zhang Huailong, Chief Engineer of Harber Industrial, introduced the establishment of the Joint Research and Development Center and the collaborative efforts between the two parties.


    Professor Qu Xuanhui of Beijing University of Science and Technology emphasized in his speech that Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology is an internationally renowned method for manufacturing metal components. It is an advanced and environmentally friendly manufacturing technology with technical advantages such as high precision and complex three-dimensional structures. MIM technology is capable of meeting the market's demand for cost-effective and large-scale production, aligning with the direction of advanced manufacturing and green manufacturing in the country. Unlike traditional metal processing techniques, MIM requires innovative design for each mold set. To enhance Harber MIM's core competitiveness and achieve innovative development, efforts should be directed towards strengthening the talent pool, recruiting skilled professionals, and enhancing technical capabilities. The establishment of the Joint Research and Development Center provides a foundation for collaborative innovation between academia and industry, and close communication with customers is essential to meet market demands effectively.


    Deputy Director Pan Liyun from the Changan Development Zone Management Committee congratulated the establishment of the Joint Research and Development Center and expressed strong support for the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. The Changan Development Zone pays high attention to the development of high-tech enterprises and specialized, small, and innovative giant enterprises. They fully appreciate Harber Industrial's investment in products and research and development. Building on this foundation, they hope that Harber Industrial will continue to focus on product and technology research and development, increase efforts in talent acquisition, establish comprehensive innovation platforms, participate in the construction of provincial-level industrial innovation complexes, and create an atmosphere that supports and encourages innovation.


    Mr. Bret Chen, General Manager of Harber Industrial, stated that the establishment of the Joint Research and Development Center with Beijing University of Science and Technology's Metal Injection Molding Technology signifies not only complementary strengths and mutual benefits for both parties but also a significant step forward for Harber in promoting technological innovation in the industry. There is immense collaborative potential and a promising future in the field of MIM technology. Through joint efforts, they will pioneer a new era of technological exchange in the metal injection molding industry and set a new standard for the transformation of scientific achievements into practical applications. Furthermore, through collaboration, they aim to attract more outstanding technical professionals and achieve outstanding results in areas such as ultra-high-strength steel and titanium alloy material applications.


    It is worth noting that since its establishment in 2014, Harber Industrial has received various honors, including being recognized as a Guangdong High-tech Enterprise, establishing an Academician Expert Workstation in Dongguan City, and being classified as a "Specialized, Refined, and New" Small and Medium-sized Enterprise in Dongguan City. The company has also obtained more than 50 patents. Currently, Harber Industrial employs nearly 200 people, with technical research and development personnel accounting for 12% of the workforce. The company specializes in metal powder injection molding technology, which finds extensive applications in consumer electronics, communication electronics, medical devices, intelligent locks, and other fields.
