The Extension of MIM Materials

In recent years, It is two directions which MIM tends to: extension of MIM materials and production equipments with high quality available for specific binders and debinding technology.

Metal injection molding is near net-shaping technology of precision parts, which has become more and more important in production of precision ceramic parts. MIM materials used in ceramic industry have be extended to carbide, metallic ceramics, inorganic non-metallic ceramics, oxide ceramics, intermetallic compounds.

MIM materials used to make wear-resistant tools have been extended to Co alloy, W alloy, hardened alloy, AI203-30TiC, MULLITE, SiC, Si3N4, etc.  Besides, SiC/AI combined materials, tooling steel, Ti alloy, NdFeB, SmCo, and other new materials have been developed into MIM.
