MIM and CIM are two main branches in powder injection technology in which MIM is the earliest and maturest one, called the hottest metal parts forming technology in the world. It deserves that honor thanks to its continuous development and increasing, as well as the professional metal injection machines. Now, the third main branch appears in powder injection field, AIM, Aluminum Injection Molding. 


In recent years, along with the maturity and popularity of MIM, people focus more and more on aluminum alloy that has excellent performance. Because of a great variety, big difference and easy to be oxy-genated, aluminum alloy has different requirements on powder injection, so there is a special branch, AIM. 

Every technology‘s integrated development, forming to be a new industry, relies on equipments improving and updating, so as to increase the efficiency for companies. AIM is no exception. At the beginning, it did not have the specified machines. Traditional powder metallurgy and injection machines were used for this technology. But it requires special materials. Those non-exclusive equipments cannot reach the requirements of production, so the parts quality is not good as well. 

The research of AIM equipments started in recent years. Aluminum Injection Molding is a high advanced technology. Because aluminum powder has smaller friction coefficient than normal metal and ceramic powder, it can used the same material mix machine and injection machine in principle.
